About us
About Our Care Home In Worcester
At Stanfield Nursing Home, we have been providing care home services in Worcester for over 30 years.
Our home is independently owned and privately run. As experienced carers, we aim for the highest possible standards of care for all our residents. We feel privileged to care for them.
Our staff follow a person-centred, sometimes called a holistic, care philosophy which informs all of our care practices.
We understand that every resident has unique needs and wants.
All of our nursing, ancillary and administrative staff work as a team to meet these needs and wants.
In essence, person-centred care means that when planning and delivering care, we, as care providers, always take into consideration the needs and wants of the person in question first. This takes many forms but holds facilitating the communication of those needs and wants at its core.
We encourage residents to be active stakeholders and decision-makers in their own care plans. They are a real partner in any decisions taken.
At our care home in Worcester, it is our responsibility to make sure that we use communication methods suitable for our residents. This is so they can participate in the decision-making process. Some people may not be able to communicate what they want as easily as others. This may be because of cognitive decline, for example. In those cases, we have a duty to make sure they get the relevant information in a format that is acceptable to them. Often we have to depend on those supporting the resident in achieving our goals.
By providing our care home services in a person-centred, holistic way, we always keep our residents’ wishes, safety and well-being at the heart of everything we do.
As a result, we proudly create an environment in which every resident can enjoy the highest possible quality of life at our nursing home in Worcestershire.

What Type of Services Do We Provide At Stanfield?
Nursing Care

At our nursing home in Worcester, we encourage our residents to lead an independent life as much as possible. Our nursing staff are there to assist where additional support is required, by accessing specialist health professionals.
Our care home is well supported by two GP practices in Worcester who are proactive in their approach to the care we provide.
Specialist Dementia Care
At Stanfield Nursing Home, many of our residents are people living with Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia. As a result, we understand how important specialist dementia care is for those who are experiencing the disease.
Furthermore, we have a highly trained team to provide the appropriate care and understanding required to support people suffering from dementia.
Continuity of Care
Continuity of care is a key part of our nursing home care philosophy. Our excellent staff retention levels, and a commitment to not using agency staff, mean we can offer stability in the familiarity of the care home staff who look after our residents. We believe that familiar faces in our nursing home team are critical to enable us to continuously meet the needs of those we care for because it means we have the best knowledge of them as an individual.
We also aim to provide continuity of care through arranging, where possible, for health services used before admission to Stanfield Nursing Home, to continue.
